Native to the Mediterranean region, Lavender use has been documented going back 2500 years. It has been traditionally used by the ancient Greeks, Persians and Romans as a perfume, in their bathing and to clear and freshen the air. Derived from the Latin word lavera “to wash” because of its use by the Romans who sprinkled the flowers in their baths.

Versatile and gentle, it can be used for anything from insect bites and stings to acne and is soothing to mild burns.
